Smarty Pants

130 students applied

Then there was testing, letters of recommendation, and the request for high school transcripts to narrow the field

130 was reduced to the top 30

30 were invited to write an essay and interview for a position

The promise of news by Monday

30 was reduced to 18

A new class of students is formed for the two year Surgical Technology Program

The letter arrived early. Friday instead of Monday

Caleb is on a choir tour until late Monday night

Letter addressed to “The Parents/Guardian of Caleb P.”

We opened it right away

Caleb was accepted. Now he just needs to decide if this is what he wants to do. Big commitment, huge benefits. Summer school for the next two years. His parents know it’s what they want him to do. Fingers crossed.
