Thoughts

I admit it, I’m discouraged. For the first time in a long time I have no idea what the next step is. I thought I did, we planned for what we thought it should be, and for some reason expected or at least hoped it would be easy and effortless. Problem is, nothing is quite working out as I thought it would. I have about as much faith right now just to hang on and to keep exploring our options. I guess what I really want is Dorothy’s yellow brick road. A nice little laid out path that I simply have to follow. Instead we are caught in a maze and seem to be hitting every dead end.

So what do you do when you find yourself discouraged and a little on the hopeless side?

I call my old friends and get together. :) Jessica

It will work out! It always does, sometimes just not what we had planned. Prayers for you!

I go for a walk around the lake with a friend and open up my heart. Somehow my path seems clearer with a friend beside me.

So I need to get together with Jessica and start walking with Lynette. Sounds like a plan (or two).

I've been thinking about you today. One thing that sometimes helps me have a more positive attitude is to keep a gratitude journal. I write down 10 things that I am grateful for each day. Sometimes 10 seems like a lot, and I have trouble coming up with 10, but it makes me really stop and think about the little things.

Lynette, I really have so much to be grateful for. I mean, really, I know I am blessed. I just think the problem lies in not having a clear vision of what I am supposed to be doing right now.

I will certainly take your advice though. I have a gratitude journal that could be updated. :-)

sorry jamie, but life never is what we think it will be. we are here to learn, grow, and love our family. sometimes the things we want most aren't the things that will bring us to where we really need or want to be even though it is a righteous desire. just remember Heavenly Father is in charge. He always knows us best and helps us through the things we can grow from the most.

You have some great friends with terrific ideas and advice, I wish I had thought of them. Keep getting back on the horse little buckaroo.
