On Wednesday, Caleb's friend suggested they ask some girls and go on a double date. I like his friend, he reminds me a lot of my high school guy friends. We have been laughing all week about the funny emails he's sent with ideas, one was his top 50 date suggestions. ;-)
So, today Caleb asked a girl out, and not only did he ask her, she made him ask her dad. Her dad put him through the third degree- where, what, who, the whole nine yards.
Caleb made it through the dad interrogation.
Then Caleb's friend dropped the bomb that he couldn't get a date (the whole time we were under the assumption he already had one).
So now Caleb's first date is one-on-one. He has no ideas and is feeling really nervous.
I feel like smacking his friend.

The dad will respect Caleb if he says that he needs to reschedule rather than go one on one. Rotten friend!
That stinks! I bet he was really looking forward to his first date. I agree with Lynette. Post pone and get his friend a date.
When I was in HS i always enjoyed group dates much more than one on one dates..even with boyfriends. One on one was always awkward.
oh being 16, what a great thing, and sooooo glad i'm not there. experiences like this always leave you laughing in the future!
bless--seriously bless
We gave Caleb the option of double dating with his parents; still can't figure out why he didn't jump at that offer. ;-)
He's going to give it another try next week.
I don't understand!?! I love going out with you guys. Tell Caleb that you feel rejected.
Maybe Caleb would rather have doubled with his Grandparents, if only we would have thought of it earlier...maybe next time.xoxo
I thing that it kind of crazy about the dad. Caleb is pretty brave.
hahaha double dating with your parents. that would rock. my parents invited emily to go to the stake valentine's luau with them....fun story for the future :)
