I’m losing track of this summer, it’s going by so quickly.
Here are a few of the things we’ve been up to:
- Clint and I celebrated our 21st anniversary
- The kids have both been working a lot. Caleb works at a local ice cream store and Caitlin is babysitting up a storm
- We’ve seen some good movies- Brave and Spider Man
- We went out to lunch on the 4th of July and noticed a big group of missionaries from our church at a nearby table. Caitlin wanted to pay for their lunches (we’ve done that before, but usually it’s just two of them, not 10). We settled for surprising them with dessert. Caitlin could hardly contain her excitement when it was delivered to them.
- Clint and I had the awesome opportunity of helping clean the temple.
- We celebrated Clint’s birthday
- We heard from Caitlin’s doctor and after carefully reviewing her scans from the last five or so years, the team was unable to determine if there has been tumor growth, so we’ll go back in six months for another MRI. It’s kind of a struggle to keep “worst-case-scenario-girl” out of my head, but I keep trying to remember we have no control over this. It is what it is and until we get a definite answer, we just have to live our lives. What I am so grateful for is our amazing medical team. They have been wonderful and are like extended family to us. The better news is they feel she won’t have to see a specialist for her growth issues at this time. They do want us to increase her calorie count and we’ve reduced her medication which is an appetite suppressant. Hopefully we’ll see some results with these changes.
- We are still waiting for answers regarding a few other things… patience and faith, patience and faith….
