The Crazy Month of May
The school year is coming to an end and the kids are BUSY, which means we’re all BUSY. Some of the highlights of the month so far are as follows:
Clint and I went to dinner with our friends, the Connors
We participated in the Daybreak Yard Sale
Clint and the kids gave me an awesome necklace for Mother’s Day
As a family we went to the Living Planet Aquarium
We all went to the dentist
We celebrated with Caleb at his Senior Awards Night
I had my first Missionary Mom’s Dinner Group, which I was inspired to start. This is for Missionary Mom’s in our Stake and boy, it’s been a great way to meet new friends
Caitlin had her Spring Orchestra Concert. They’ve made some big strides this year
Caleb went to his Senior Dinner/Dance
Clint, Caleb, and Caitlin went scuba diving
Caleb went to the Imagine Dragons concert (his first concert ever)
Caitlin participated in a school chalk art festival with her friend. She came home rather colorful
The next few weeks are crammed with more activities and… who am I kidding… the next few months are crammed with activities… until it’s time to say goodbye to our boy

He also received the Mustang Medallion
He has really made the most of his high school years and has experienced and accomplished so much. We’re incredibly proud of him. Three weeks until graduation!

High School Choir Tour: New York
Caleb left for New York with his high school choir on Thursday morning. We haven’t heard a thing from him until tonight when he called to ask us to check him in for his flight. He also let us know he’s spent all of $11.98 and has had about two hours of sleep total. Awesome.
Here are a few of the photos we’ve seen on Facebook- Times Square before going to Phantom of the Opera, Central Park, and the New York Temple.

Caleb’s Last Prom
Just another sign that senior year is coming to an end, Caleb’s last prom has come and gone.
The day started out with the four couples having breakfast and playing games. Tonight they had dinner at Macaroni Grill and were then off to the Capitol Building for the dance. Cute, cute kids. Wish the photos weren’t so shadowy.

Our Easter
We had a wonderful Easter weekend with some spiritual highs.
On Saturday, Caitlin and I attended the General Young Women's meeting at the Conference Center with our Stake. The messages were so uplifting and I’m so proud of Caitlin for her good choices and desire to stay on the straight and narrow path.
Today, Easter Sunday, Caleb received his Patriarchal Blessing. It was such an amazing experience. As his parents, Clint and I know what a strong and righteous young man he is, and his blessing confirmed everything we know about him and taught us so much more. Our Patriarch became emotional right after he laid his hands on Caleb’s head and the Spirit was so strong throughout. While I can’t write what was said in the blessing and discussed after on my blog, our Patriarch complimented Caleb on being so well prepared and told him he “felt” like a missionary already.
We are grateful and blessed to have two wonderful children.

Tested, Tried, and Tired
We have been warned that life may become more difficult as Caleb and our family prepare for him to serve a mission for our church. Thanks for the warning, but seriously, I had NO IDEA! I’m pretty sure Satan himself has moved right in and set up camp in our house with a bag full of financial/discouragement trials. Deep breath, we will get through this…
